Is my payment secure?

Yes. All payments through Richmond, The American University in London, INC richmondalumnigiving.hubbub.net will be securely processed by Stripe www.stripe.com/gb/privacy and Stripe US www.stripe.com/en-US/privacy.

Why is my payment not going through?

Please check that you have included your postcode in both the address field and the card details field of the gift form. If there is still a problem you may have to contact your card provider and inform them that the payment is valid. For any queries please contact us at alumni@richmond.ac.uk.

Can I see my gift on this website?

Yes! If you’ve chosen not to make your gift anonymous, you can take a look at the donor wall to see your name.

Is there another way to donate to you other than online?

Yes, you can contact us at alumni@richmond.ac.uk or call +44 (0)20 7368 8508 and we’ll be delighted to help you make your gift.

I set up a recurring payment, what will show in the totaliser?

Yes, the total of your direct debit payments for the duration of time selected will show up in the total raised on the website.

Donor Promise

So much of our work would not be possible without our supporters. We are grateful for your support, and we want to give you something in return. We want your experience of giving to Richmond to be a positive one, and that’s why we want to make a special commitment to you.

Our Promise to You

  1. We will treat you with respect: Anyone who takes a donation from you on behalf of Richmond will be understanding and respectful

  2. We ensure you decide where your donation goes: Every penny of your donation will go towards the area you wish to support. This is because our running costs are funded centrally by the University. We will always handle your gift responsibly and in a way that is most effective for the beneficiary. If you choose to let us decide where your money can be best used, we will spend your money wisely, ensuring it goes to the area in greatest need.

  3. We will update you on the impact of your gift: You will receive regular updates on how your gift is being used and the impact it has had. All of our fundraising communications will be honest, truthful and will comply with the law.

  4. We will be responsible with your data: We promise to store your personal details safely and securely, and we will never sell, trade or swap your data with third parties. Your confidentiality will be respected at all times. We will comply with the law relating to fundraising and the use of personal data in line with all relevant data protection legislation.

  5. We will respect your wishes: If you tell us that you do not want to be contacted by the University’s Alumni Relations and Engagement team, we will act on your wishes.
